Meet "Zarina", the newest sculpture, in a series of mermaid and mermen.
|
|
|
"Zarina" stands approximately 15" tall, 4.5 deep, and 14" long. All her scales were cut and applied individually, with scale sizes diminishing as they run from her tail to her bodice. Several layers of color where topped with the dry brush / rub of a metallic aqua and metallic purple. Each scale edge was then tipped with liquid gold leaf. |
